In order to get the most from your family ski break – you need to know what your host ski-resort and surrounding area offers in terms of things to do, events, childcare and facilities. St Anton genuinely offers something for everyone. We look at some fun activities to keep you entertained while in the resort.
St Anton boasts several toboggan runs which are free to use. There is a 4km lighted sled run from Gampen down the valley to Nasserein and takes about 15 minutes to complete. Other runs include Pettneu (1.5km), Schnann (200m), Flirsch (1km) and Strengen (1km). Toboggans can be hired at most of the sports shops in the resort.
There is an artificial ice rink in front of the wellness center. You can ice skate between 13:00 and 17:30 while the curling is from 18:00 until 22:00.
In St Anton children have their own world; there are fantastic ski schools with expert instructors who have lots of patience and imagination to making skiing lots of fun for the little ones. At the end of the ski lessons each child receives a performance pass which informs parents about their progress.
St Anton is a fantastic destination for cross-country skiers. It boasts 40km of cross-country trails which have been awarded a quality seal by Tyrol. The trails vary in difficulty from comfortable to challenging – meaning there is something for everybody.
Arl.Rock Sports Centre
The Arl centre is a multi-functional building that allows guests fantastic off-piste activities.
Climbing – there is 1,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor arl.rock. With approximately 100 climbing routes there are areas suitable for beginners, intermediates and experts. There are also 60 boulders at six different levels of difficulty.
There are two tennis courts which can be converted in to either a football pitch or volleyball court. It is also possible to play badminton, table tennis, basket ball and six cup – the possibilities are endless.
There are four modern bowling alleys which are the perfect place to relax with friends. After 22:00 there is ‘disco bowling’ which is a firm favorite with many.
In the heart of St Anton is a modern center for wellness.
There are three swimming pools; an indoor pool, outdoor pool and a children’s pool. The indoor pool has an elliptical flume which leads outside.
– the sauna area boasts a Finnish sauna, kelo sauna, samarium, steam bath, massage showers and two solariums. It is a great place to relax while taking in fantastic views of the resort.
